The first part of your adventure begins with the exploration of the most culturally rich and historically iconic sites of Kathmandu, which is the capital of Nepal. You will experience a cultural and spiritual trip to the heart of Kathmandu in full splendor.

Then comes the highlight of your adventure with the Trishuli River Rafting package. You start by having a brief introduction to rafting by your expert river guide who will take you through some of the most exciting moments on the Trishuli River. It will be an exciting 3-hour rafting trip on the grade 3 and 4 rapids of the Trishuli River. You will get a lot of adrenalin from this part of the trip.

Finally, visit Pokhara, one of the most beautiful tourist cities of Nepal. Pokhara is located at a distance of 200 km from Kathmandu. This city is situated at the base of the Himalayan range of Annapurna. There are numerous activities available in the city. Some of the activities include a boat ride in Phewa lake, exploring Mahendra Gupha, Davis Fall, and Seti River Gorge. The Machapuchhre mountain is a major attraction of Pokhara.

Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Arrive in Kathmandu

    Feel the exhilarating experience of arriving in Kathmandu and looking at the magnificent snow- covered peaks of the Himalayas spread out in front of you. The spectacular sight of Nepal is guaranteed to get your heart racing.

    Our representatives and drivers will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. Once checked into your hotel, you will be briefed about your schedule for the day.

  • Day 2
    Kathmandu City Tour

    Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a thrilling journey to discover the beauty of Kathmandu City through a tour. Start with the discovery of Kathmandu Durbar Square which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its unique architecture and culture.

    Further, pay a visit to the renowned Swayambhunath Stupa popularly called the Monkey Temple which is located on a hill with scenic views of the city. Finish off your tour with a trip to Patan Durbar Square which is famous for the temples, palaces, and craftsmanship of the Newars.

    Experience a fascinating day as you immerse yourself in the rich culture and heritage of the Kathmandu Valley.

  • Day 3
    Drive to Charaudi and Rafting to Kuringhat

    Start off your day early in the morning by traveling to Charaudi, which takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to travel from Kathmandu. While traveling to the destination, enjoy the amazing views of the majestic Himalayan range in Nepal.

    Once you reach Charaudi, prepare yourself for the adventure of white water rafting along the Kali Gandaki river, full of adventurous rapids and thrill.

    At the end of the day after having an exciting rafting trip till Kuringhat, arrange for your night camp inside tents around the river. Enjoy the peace of the flowing river along with the magnificent Himalayas, which makes up the perfect ending to a wonderful day.

  • Day 4
    Rafting to Mungling & Travel to Pokhara

    Paddle down the rapids as you raft from Kuringhat to Mungling, immersing yourself in the rush of the Kali Gandaki River amid beautiful natural surroundings.

    On completion of your rafting experience, you will be transferred to Pokhara via an approximately 3-hour road trip. Enjoy the serene river views, lush hills, and the countryside scenery en route to Pokhara, where you can discover this wonderful city renowned for its lakes and the breathtaking peaks of Annapurna.

  • Day 5
    Pokhara Sightseeing and Boat Ride in Phewa Lake

    Start off with a healthy breakfast at your hotel and then set out on a sightseeing trip to visit some of the natural beauty spots around Pokhara, one of the most picturesque cities in Nepal. See the fascinating Devi’s Fall, where water falls into an underground cave, and the breathtaking gorge of the Seti River that passes through the limestone formation.

    Also see the Tibetan Villages and conclude your day with a relaxing boat ride in Phewa Lake, which is encircled by greenery and a magnificent mountain called Machapuchhre (or Fishtail).

  • Day 6
    Drive to Kathmandu

    Post completion of your sightseeing tour in Pokhara, embark on an enjoyable drive to Kathmandu with around 210 km distance covered in 7–8 hours. Feel rejuvenated by the picturesque landscapes that you will encounter during your travel.

    On your arrival at Kathmandu, the remaining part of the day is yours to spend in leisure as per your own interest preferences. You may go shopping in the nearby market, wander around in the streets, do anything as per your preference.

    This is a very flexible day where you have all the liberty to relax yourself after an exhausting yet rewarding adventure experience in Pokhara.

    Last Leg of Journey from Kathmandu

    Upon having a tasty breakfast at your hotel, you will be driven to Tribhuvan International Airport. We assure you that our representative will make sure everything goes smoothly for you to board your plane easily.

Do's & Don'ts

NHV next heartily welcomes all of our valued guests. Either you are trekking in the mountains or touring the Kathmandu valley we suggest you that you treat the land and its people with care and respect. Below are some tips on how you can keep the environment clean and show appreciation for age-old culture and traditional religious beliefs. Nepal's Culture might be astonishing and surprising for newcomers therefore these tips are sometimes necessary.

  • To show gratitude and respect, use both of your hands rather than one when giving or receiving something, even money. It’s seen as a gesture of respect.
  • Remember not to point with a single finger but use a flat extended hand especially to indicate a sacred object or place.
  • Among Hindus, avoid touching women and holy men. In Nepal, people especially women, do not normally shake hands when they greet one another, but instead press palms together in a prayer-like gesture known as "Namaste" greeting is preferable.
  • Do not eat with your left hand.
  • Never eat beef in front of Hindus and Buddhist because beef is strictly prohibited among both Hindus and Buddhists. Cows are sacred in Nepal.
  • Try not to step over or point your feet at another person, a sacred place or a heart.
  • Remove your shoes when entering a home, temple or monastery and leather items in Hindu temples and avoid smoking and wearing scant dress in religious settings.
  • Remember, some of the temples entrance may be prohibited for non-Hindus.
  • It is better not to touch offerings or persons when they are on way to shrines, especially if you are non-Hindu.
  • Do not offer food to a Nepalese after tasting it, nor eat from a common pot, and avoid touching your lips to a shared drinking vessel.
  • The sight of men holding hands is common, but men and women holding hands, and general acts of affection, are frowned upon. Do not do something that is totally alien to Nepalese culture.
  • Do walk around Stupas clockwise, so that the outer walls are always on your right. If you encounter a stone wall covered with Tibetan inscriptions, do the same: Walk past with the wall on your right (and don't take any of the stones).
  • Do not lose your cool. Raising your voice or shouting is seen as extremely bad manners in Nepal too and will only make any problem worse.
  • Do get a receipt of in authenticity when purchasing an antique replica. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to take it out of the country. And do not buy ivory or fur from endangered species. Your purchases encourage the trade in such illegal goods, and you would not be allowed to bring them back home anyway.
  • Do not give in to children who ask for just one rupee. Although a rupee is a small amount that anyone can spare, successful begging leads young children to drop out of school and take up panhandling as their trade. If you want to help, give to a trustworthy charity or a school.
  • Do not take photographs of locals, holy shrines and temples unless they have clearly given their consent.
