The 200 km drive from Kathmandu to an altitude of 900 m makes it to Pokhara; The City of Lakes. Through the 6-7 hours' drive you will witness the stunning glimpse of Annapurna and Manaslu ranges, Trishuli River, Local Bazars and roadside eateries. Devi's fall being a mysterious underground waterfall and Gupteswor cave, the longest cave of Nepal provides a magical moment. The 5-6 hours journey, 127 km away to 150 m elevation gets us to Lumbini. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lumbini is a place of peace and historical significance. The Key attraction here is Maya Devi Temple, the exact spot where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Buddha, Ashok Pillar. A historic monument erected by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. Whether you seek spiritual awakening, cultural exploration or simply a place of serenity, Lumbini offers an experience that makes the moment more meaningful.
Explore Kathmandu Durbar Square: Located in the heart of Kathmandu, this ancient palace complex was once the royal residence of Nepalese kings. The square has been a significant center for social and religious activities, often hosting festivals, public gatherings and royal events.
Visit Swayambhunath Stupa: The site includes Hindu shrines, small stupas and statues of Buddhist deities. The temple is home to many monkeys, a sacred pilgrimage center for both Buddhist and Hindus. It is a perfect spot for photography, meditation and cultural exploration.
Pay a visit to Patan Durbar Square: Known as the “City of Fine Arts”, Patan is a cultural and historical Gem. A 17th Century temple built entirely from stone dedicated to Lord Krishna.
Boating in the Nepal's Scenic Lake: With the stunning lakes surrounded by lush green hills and the majestic Annapurna and Machhapuchhre mountains in the backdrop, it offers an unforgettable boating experience.
Tal Barahi Temple: In the middle of the lake is an island where stands The Tal Barahi Temple. It is a classic Newari-style temple with a thatched roof and intricate wooden carving. Devotees visit to seek blessings for prosperity, protection and strength.
The Mysterious Waterfall: Devi's fall locally known as Patale Chhango is one of Pokhara's most famous, powerful and mysterious waterfall where the Phewa Lake disappears into an underground tunnel.
A sacred Underground Wonder: Located just opposite to Devi's fall, the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave which is one of Nepal's longest caves and holds a great religious significance.
Maya Devi Temple: This place marks the exact spot where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama who later became Buddha. Beside it is the Puskarini where Queen Maya Devi is believed to have bathed.
The Ashoka Pillar: It was built by emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century. The pillar with its inscriptions, confirms Lumbini as the birthplace of Buddha. It is one of the most significant and oldest landmarks in lumbini.
The Royal Chitwan National Park: Established in 1973, the national park provides a great wildlife experience with its rich flora and fauna. The wildlife and the landscape are not as breathtaking as those found in Africa but still, the experience will stand out.
Canoe Ride: You will be able to spot crocodiles and other reptiles sunning themselves on the riverbanks, or admire the graceful lines of Ibises and other waterfowl as you travel silently and peacefully down the river. This activity is available mostly, when the water level in the Rapti is neither too low nor too high.
Tharu Dance: You will be more than welcome to join the village girls and boys as they move their hips in a local rhythm.
