Your first destination is Kathmandu Valley where you get to enjoy exploring UNESCO World Heritage Sites, numerous temples and stupas, and cultural activities within the area. Following that, embark on your next adventure with an interesting drive up to Trishuli for white-water rafting.

Get the opportunity to experience one of the most sought-after routes in Nepal's white water rafting adventure on the Trishuli River. This activity offers exciting Grade 3–4 rapids. Prior to starting your rafting, you will be offered a safety briefing conducted by your guides. Rafting promises to be an excellent combination of thrills, scenic views, and riverside camping.

Finally, after enjoying this thrilling adventure, head to the tropical plains of Nepal to experience its wildlife and dense jungle cover in Chitwan. Experience a totally different aspect of Nepal.

You will experience the thrill of jungle activities such as elephant ride, canoe ride, bird watching, jungle walk, and wildlife spotting in Chitwan National Park, which is a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Some of the endangered species found here include one-horned rhino, gharial crocodile, and the Royal Bengal tiger.   • Day 1
    Arrival in Kathmandu

    You will have a stunning bird’s eye view of the majestic Himalayan range as you arrive in Kathmandu through the valley on a clear day. The beautiful sight of the Himalayas will surely set the mood for your amazing adventure in Nepal.

    On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative and driver will receive you with warm greetings and help you move to your hotel. After checking into your hotel, you will be briefed about your travel plans and tours. The remaining part of the day is yours to relax after your long journey.

  • Day 2
    Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour

    Meals: Breakfast

    After having breakfast at the hotel in Kathmandu, start a sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu valley, a place brimming with culture, heritage, and religious sites.

    First stop will be Swayambhunath Stupa also called the Monkey Temple because of the monkeys that live around it; the stupa is a religious site with great historical and spiritual significance. Next destination will be Patan, the ancient city which is known for its beautiful temples and carvings on stones and wood as well as the famous Durbar Square. Visit the highlights of Kathmandu and Patan where Hindu and Buddhist cultures meet seamlessly, presenting an interesting mix.

  • Day 3
    Drive to Charaundi & Rafting to Kuringhat

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

    In the early morning, leave Kathmandu for an adventurous drive to Charaundi (approximately 1 to 1.5 hours). The trip provides wonderful views of rivers, green hills, and natural landscapes of central Nepal, thus providing a preview of the upcoming adventurous activities.

    Once at Charaundi, embark on an exciting whitewater rafting adventure along the Trishuli River, which is considered one of the most famous rafting sites in Nepal. Experience thrilling rapids, calm waters, and riverside views as you journey from Charaundi to Kuringhat.

    The rafting tour will take you through the beautiful rivers of Nepal and be accompanied by experienced rafters who guide you during the process. Once you reach Kuringhat, conclude your rafting activity and establish a riverside campsite. Rest at night in tents and enjoy the serene natural environment under the open sky.

    Rafting to Mugling & Transfer to Chitwan National Park

    Following a delicious breakfast at the riverside camp close to Kuringhat, proceed on your thrilling white-water rafting trip on the Trishuli River till Mugling. The route provides you with an ideal mix of adventurous rapids, peaceful waters, and scenic river views, ensuring that your adventure does not come to an end anytime soon.

    By mid-morning, end your rafting experience at Mugling and transfer to the well-known Chitwan National Park situated in the tropical lowlands of Nepal.

    Once you reach your destination, check into your hotel/lodge and indulge in lunch. In the evening, start your tour of Chitwan's unique flora and fauna. With the help of professional naturalists, you can take part in jungle activities like nature treks, bird watching, and cultural tours of the local community. Have a relaxing time and get ready for some thrilling wildlife excursions in the national park.

    Whole Day Jungle Activities at Chitwan National Park

    Engage in all day jungle activities and explore the wildlife at Chitwan National Park. Spend your entire day enjoying a number of jungle activities that will take place under the guidance of experienced naturalists.

    Begin the day with an exhilarating safari riding on elephants within the community forest. Here, you have an incredible chance of witnessing wildlife like rhinos, deer, and many more from the back of the elephant. Have a briefing meeting with the elephants before setting off for the excursion. You might have a chance to visit the elephant breeding center in Sauraha region and gharial breeding center in Kasara region depending upon your lodge.

    Join the bird watching tour to observe over 450 varieties of birds like the Hornbills, storks, and paradise flycatchers. Go for an amazing journey riding a dugout canoe on the banks of Rapti River (seasonal) and see crocodiles and water birds while cruising along the river. Go on an adventurous jungle walk with a guide in order to discover the wildlife as well as the ecosystem of the jungle.

    Drive Back to Kathmandu

    Start your return journey to Kathmandu by road (around 163 km / 5–6 hours), following a memorable adventure with nature in the Chitwan National Park. Your journey will include some beautiful scenery that will allow you to take one last look at the natural wonders of Nepal.

    On reaching Kathmandu, you will be dropped at the hotel. This marks the end of your day's activities.

    Departure for Home.

    Post breakfast, drive to airport and board your return flight to home destination.

Do's & Don'ts

NHV next heartily welcomes all of our valued guests. Either you are trekking in the mountains or touring the Kathmandu valley we suggest you that you treat the land and its people with care and respect. Below are some tips on how you can keep the environment clean and show appreciation for age-old culture and traditional religious beliefs. Nepal's Culture might be astonishing and surprising for newcomers therefore these tips are sometimes necessary.

  • To show gratitude and respect, use both of your hands rather than one when giving or receiving something, even money. It’s seen as a gesture of respect.
  • Remember not to point with a single finger but use a flat extended hand especially to indicate a sacred object or place.
  • Among Hindus, avoid touching women and holy men. In Nepal, people especially women, do not normally shake hands when they greet one another, but instead press palms together in a prayer-like gesture known as "Namaste" greeting is preferable.
  • Do not eat with your left hand.
  • Never eat beef in front of Hindus and Buddhist because beef is strictly prohibited among both Hindus and Buddhists. Cows are sacred in Nepal.
  • Try not to step over or point your feet at another person, a sacred place or a heart.
  • Remove your shoes when entering a home, temple or monastery and leather items in Hindu temples and avoid smoking and wearing scant dress in religious settings.
  • Remember, some of the temples entrance may be prohibited for non-Hindus.
  • It is better not to touch offerings or persons when they are on way to shrines, especially if you are non-Hindu.
  • Do not offer food to a Nepalese after tasting it, nor eat from a common pot, and avoid touching your lips to a shared drinking vessel.
  • The sight of men holding hands is common, but men and women holding hands, and general acts of affection, are frowned upon. Do not do something that is totally alien to Nepalese culture.
  • Do walk around Stupas clockwise, so that the outer walls are always on your right. If you encounter a stone wall covered with Tibetan inscriptions, do the same: Walk past with the wall on your right (and don't take any of the stones).
  • Do not lose your cool. Raising your voice or shouting is seen as extremely bad manners in Nepal too and will only make any problem worse.
  • Do get a receipt of in authenticity when purchasing an antique replica. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to take it out of the country. And do not buy ivory or fur from endangered species. Your purchases encourage the trade in such illegal goods, and you would not be allowed to bring them back home anyway.
  • Do not give in to children who ask for just one rupee. Although a rupee is a small amount that anyone can spare, successful begging leads young children to drop out of school and take up panhandling as their trade. If you want to help, give to a trustworthy charity or a school.
  • Do not take photographs of locals, holy shrines and temples unless they have clearly given their consent.
